In December 2011, at the sidelines of the 34th Annual Conference of Pakistan Association of Pathologists, the first general body meeting of the Pakistan Society for Immunology (PSI) was convened after the establishment of the society through a unanimous vote of all in attendance which included consultants as well as residents.

 

The office bearers of the executive council were elected through a unanimous vote to oversee the affairs with an explicit objective of formulating aims, objectives, constitution, terms of reference and other rules of business and elections for the executive council within 6 months of this meeting.

 

The office bearers of the first executive council of Pakistan Society for Immunology (PSI) included Professor Raabia Hussain as patron, Brigadier Tahir Aziz Ahmad as President, Prof Ghazala Jaffery as Vice President, Professor Raana Muzaffar as Treasurer, Dr Sabiha Anis as General Secretary and Major Hamid Nawaz Tipu as Secretary Finance.

In December 2012, the second general body meeting of Pakistan Society for Immunology (PSI) was held on the sidelines of 1st Joint Conference of Associations of Pathologists at Convention Center, Islamabad. Brigadiet Tahir Aziz Ahmad presided upon the meeting. A total of 18 participants attended the meeting which included many new faces as compared to last year.

The participants were informed about the progress related to preparation of the Society by-laws and it was unanimously decided that interim office bearers should expedite the registration process followed by general elections for the executive council.

The third annual general body meeting was held on the sidelines of 2nd Joint Conference of Associations of Pathologists at Lahore in December 2013. The highlights of the meeting included the decision to continue the tenure of the current executive council through a general vote.
